How to connect from your site to IRC chat

Internet Relay Chat, or IRC, is one of the oldest chat systems on the Internet.

Many IRC networks available on the Internet such as freenode UFNet DALnet, and several smaller IRC networks. IRC is useful when you want to have a chat room, put in place so that occasional users chat room as well as power users savvy can access computer. For this reason, some networks offers a program that you can place on your site to connect to IRC chat. Difficulty: average

    Find an IRC Web site (see resources) - program.

    Click on "generate code", window code generation.

  • 3

    Type the name of the channel you want to connect.

  • Step to ensure if the channel on the network. Leave all other default, unless know the options change.

    Click "Confirm" button and copy the code displayed in the Clipboard.

  • If you must use the Clipboard to something else, open Notepad and paste the code. (Don't forget to copy the code once more for step 6)
  • 5

    Open the Web page you want to add chat for your Web site editor.

  • 6

    Add the code in the Web page and save it on your site.

  • 7

    Open the site that you have added the cat in the browser.

  • The applet should begin.
