What is the subject of a Usenet?

Prior to BitTorrent, KaZaA and other peer-to-peer exchange technology was Usenet.

Usenet was the Duke University, Tom Truscott and Jim Ellis, who wanted to develop a network for the exchange of information in the Unix community in 1979 by students.

  1. Usenet was created primarily to connect with other like-minded peers of the same spirit.
When it first started, the main objective was to connect with other users of UNIX. Although it far from the social-networking sites today, Usenet is the predecessor.
