How: cite sources online text style of the APA

The style of the American Psychological Association, APA, or frequently used in writing, while liberal arts MLA style is used in social sciences.

Both styles are similar, but differ significantly in the region of citations. Write documents, students often make mistakes in the rules of citation format and text. If online sources citing, follow you same rules for quoting as close as possible to other documents. Difficulty: average

    Write the introductory words.

When citing and referencing equipment from a single source, the author name, date published the source and the page number should appear. Introduction to the quote with a short sentence that contains name of the author. If there is more than an author should the names included the author of each. "After Sims is an example of an introductory sentence." If the set works better without an introductory sentence, the author name in brackets will be at the end of the sentence.

    Write "n/a" in parentheses, if there no date.

  • Example: To Sims (s.d..) "written the style of the APA is easy." Or, "Writing to the St." "YL ABS is easy" (Sims, n.d)).

    Include page numbers.

  • Most Web pages have no page numbers, and so are omitted the quote in the text. However if you use an online page EngourdirERS article, quoting the numbers at the end of the quotation.
