Also known as AIM, AOL Instant Messenger comes with free buddy icons.

Buddy icons are avatars that sets your AIM Profile. The person, you chat with if you are are instant messaging they see displayed avatar. Some AIM buddy icons provide teams sports, food, events, holidays, movies, musicians and seasons. You can find same animation buddy icons. Difficulty: easy

   Open and close to your AIM program.

Click "Menu" at the top.

Click "Settings".

Select the tab "Expressions" and click the button "My expressions".

Select a buddy icon.

You can change the categories restrict the type of icon that you want to use.

Click the desired buddy icon and click "Apply" below, to set.
